40 Developmental Assets
LCAD is partnering with the other Nebraska Regional Prevention Centers to introduce the 40 Developmental Assets across the state. Assets are a list of research-based essential building blocks that youth and adults need to succeed. The more of these assets that youth and adults acquire, the stronger they become. LCAD offers informational sessions, publications, and videos to introduce the concept of Assets to organizations and individuals. Click here for 40 Developmental Asset information.
Prevention Resources
The LCAD resource room houses printed materials to assist you regarding issues related to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. In an effort to better serve the community, we offer resources in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Russian and Bosnian. The resource room also includes over 100 videos available for checkout. LCAD also houses Eastern Nebraska’s State Curriculum Library for Safe and Drug-Free School Programs.
DUI Education Classes
LCAD is now offering DUI Education Classes in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Classes fulfilling both the 8- and 15-hour education requirements are available. Call 475-2694 for more information.
Evaluation
LCAD provides substance use evaluations for adults as a first step in identifying abuse or chemical dependency and accessing community resources. LCAD offers adults a confidential evaluation to asses those needs. Our program is not affiliated with a treatment agency and provides clients with information about local resources.
